From a tandem jump exit altitude of 4,000 metres, you see this entire massif at eye level: the crevassed Grindelwald Glacier below, the Bernese Oberland valleys spreading north, and the permanent snowfields of the UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage area extending to the south.
The nearest certified tandem drop zones are Swiss Boogie in Kappelen (canton of Bern, approx. 65 km) and Dropzone 47 in Grenchen (canton of Solothurn, approx. 85 km). Both are reached in 60–90 minutes by car via the A6 motorway. Tandem jumps run from April to October with licensed instructors.

How Does a Tandem Skydive Work?
From arrival to landing – step by step
Arrival & Briefing
You arrive at the drop zone and meet your tandem instructor for a 20-minute ground briefing covering body position, safety procedures and the jump sequence. All equipment is fitted for you personally.
Climb to 4,000 Metres
The aircraft climbs to 4,000 metres in 15–25 minutes. As you gain altitude, the Bernese Oberland panorama unfolds: the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau forming a wall of rock and ice on the southern horizon.
Freefall – 45 to 55 Seconds
You exit the aircraft and experience 45–55 seconds of freefall at up to 200 km/h. The Eiger North Face dominates the alpine horizon, the Grindelwald glaciers glitter below, and the Thunersee and Brienzersee shimmer to the north.
Canopy Flight & Landing
At 1,500m the parachute opens for 5–8 minutes of peaceful gliding above the Bernese Oberland. Your instructor guides you to a smooth standing landing.
