The ultimate experience gift – 45 seconds of freefall from 4,000m, wrapped up for someone special

A Tandem Skydive as a Gift

Why a skydiving voucher beats any material present

Experiences create longer-lasting happiness than things. Research in positive psychology consistently shows that experience gifts – activities, adventures, memorable moments – generate stronger positive memories and higher satisfaction than material gifts of equivalent value. A tandem skydive is the extreme version of this: 45–55 seconds of freefall at up to 200 km/h from 4,000 metres above the Swiss Alps, followed by 5–8 minutes of peaceful canopy flight with a panoramic view that few people ever see. It is, by any measure, one of the most memorable experiences available in Switzerland.

Skydiving vouchers are available directly from the Swiss drop zones listed on this site. Prices range from CHF 330 to CHF 400 per person for a full tandem jump including equipment, briefing, ascent flight and the jump itself. Many drop zones also offer video and photo packages as an add-on – an ideal complement to the voucher so the recipient can relive and share the moment.

Perfect occasions for a skydiving gift

A tandem jump voucher works for almost any celebration: milestone birthdays (18th, 30th, 40th, 50th), anniversaries, Christmas, Valentine's Day, graduation gifts, or simply as a spontaneous surprise. It's also a popular choice for bachelor and bachelorette parties – one activity that every participant will talk about for years. Corporate team-building groups book tandem jumps regularly through the drop zones as well.

How to give a skydiving voucher

Contact the drop zone of your choice directly (see our drop zone directory) to purchase a voucher. Most Swiss drop zones offer printable or digital vouchers with an attractive design. The recipient then contacts the drop zone directly to book their preferred jump date. Vouchers are typically valid for the full season (April–October) or longer.

Price range

A standard tandem jump voucher in Switzerland costs between CHF 330 and CHF 400. Optional video/photo packages add CHF 60–130. Some drop zones offer premium or "hero" packages that include a higher exit altitude or additional services – check directly with your chosen drop zone for current offers.

Why a Skydiving Voucher?

Three reasons it outperforms any material gift

🧠
Experiences last longer than things
Research shows experience gifts produce stronger memories and lasting positive emotions compared to material presents of equal value. A skydive is remembered for decades.
🎯
Something they'd never buy themselves
Most people dream about skydiving but never get around to booking it. A voucher removes that barrier and turns the dream into a date on the calendar.
📸
A story worth telling
Add a video/photo package and the recipient has footage of their freefall to share with family and friends. The experience keeps giving long after the jump.

How Does a Tandem Skydive Work?

What the voucher recipient can expect on the day

01

Arrival & Briefing

The recipient arrives at the drop zone and meets their tandem instructor for a 20-minute ground briefing covering body position, safety procedures and the jump sequence. All equipment is provided and fitted personally.

02

Climb to 4,000 Metres

The aircraft climbs to 4,000 metres in 15–25 minutes. Switzerland unfolds below – mountains, lakes and valleys gaining scale as altitude increases.

03

Freefall – 45 to 55 Seconds

Exit the aircraft and experience 45–55 seconds of freefall at up to 200 km/h. The Swiss Alps, lakes and Mittelland spread out in every direction. An experience unlike anything else.

04

Canopy Flight & Landing

At 1,500m the parachute opens for 5–8 minutes of peaceful gliding with a panoramic Alpine view. The instructor guides to a smooth standing landing. Then: the biggest smile of the year.
