Swiss Boogie is a well-established drop zone operating from Kappelen airfield in the canton of Bern, between Bern and Murten (Morat). The team offers tandem jumps from 4,000m with experienced FOCA-licensed instructors. The season runs from April to October. As an alternative, Dropzone 47 in Grenchen is approximately 35 km from Bern – easily reachable and equally professional.

How Does a Tandem Skydive Work?
From arrival to landing – your experience step by step
Arrival & Briefing
You arrive at Kappelen and meet your tandem instructor. A 20-minute briefing covers body position, safety procedures and the full jump sequence. All gear – jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and parachute system – is fitted for you personally.
Climb to 4,000 Metres
You board the aircraft and climb to 4,000 metres. On the way up you see the Swiss Mittelland spreading below, with the full chain of the Bernese Alps building on the horizon – Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger growing larger with every metre of altitude gained.
Freefall – 45 to 55 Seconds
You exit the aircraft and experience 45 to 55 seconds of pure freefall at up to 200 km/h. The Bernese Alps spread across the southern horizon, the Aare meanders through the Mittelland below – an extraordinary perspective on a landscape most people only see from the ground.
Canopy Flight & Landing
At around 1,500 metres the parachute opens. You glide peacefully for 5 to 8 minutes over the Bernese countryside before your instructor brings you to a smooth, standing landing. Pure adrenaline, pure Switzerland.
