How Does a Tandem Skydive Work?
From arrival to landing – your experience step by step
Arrival & Briefing
You arrive at the drop zone and meet your tandem instructor. A 20-minute briefing covers body position, all safety procedures and the jump sequence. All equipment – jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and parachute system – is fitted for you personally.
Climb to 4,000 Metres
You board the aircraft and climb to 4,000 metres. The ascent takes 15–25 minutes. Already from the plane the tri-national landscape of Basel becomes visible – Switzerland, France and Germany spread out beneath you.
Freefall – 45 to 55 Seconds
You exit the aircraft at 200 km/h. The Rhine below, the Black Forest to the east, the Alsace plain to the west, the Swiss Jura to the south – in 45 to 55 seconds of freefall you take in a panorama spanning three countries.
Canopy Flight & Landing
At 1,500 metres the parachute opens. You glide peacefully for 5–8 minutes before a smooth, standing landing. An experience that's hard to beat anywhere in Europe.
