Bern enjoys an outstanding location for licensed skydivers. Swiss Boogie in Kappelen (~30 km) is Switzerland's largest and most social drop zone, with a full calendar of fun jump days, organised loads, and occasional boogie events. DZ47 in Grenchen (~40 km) adds a second highly active option with a strong freefly community.
Swiss Boogie in particular is a favourite for licensed jumpers visiting Switzerland — large landing area, multiple aircraft, active manifest from early morning on weekends, and a community pub on site. The Bernese Mittelland setting offers clear views to the Alps on good weather days, and the flying conditions are consistently good throughout the season.
