Group tandem jumps for 4–30 people – the team event everyone will actually talk about
Corporate Skydiving as Team Building
Why a group tandem jump outperforms any conventional team event
Team building events in Switzerland typically fall into two categories: activities people enjoy in the moment and forget within a month, and experiences that become part of the team's shared identity. A group tandem skydive falls firmly into the second category. The shared vulnerability before the exit door opens, the collective euphoria after landing, and the genuine achievement of having done something most people only dream about – these create bonds that a cooking class or escape room simply cannot replicate.
Swiss drop zones regularly host corporate groups of 4–30 people. Most accommodate corporate bookings with advance notice and can arrange dedicated time slots so your team jumps together rather than being mixed with the general public. Group discounts are often available – contact the drop zone directly to discuss corporate pricing.
What makes skydiving work for corporate teams
Equaliser effect: In freefall, every title disappears. The CEO and the intern are both equally terrified and exhilarated. This breaks down hierarchical barriers in a way that structured exercises rarely achieve. The shared experience of facing and overcoming the same fear creates a kind of mutual respect that persists long after the event.
Trust and communication: The tandem jump requires each participant to trust their instructor completely – a visceral reminder of what trust feels like in practice. This transfers well to post-event conversations about team trust and dependency.
Lasting memories: Unlike most corporate offsites, a skydive creates a specific, memorable story that team members tell repeatedly. The video footage (highly recommended for corporate groups) gives the team a shared media asset that can be used internally for months.
How to organise a corporate skydive
Step 1: Contact the drop zone of your choice and explain you're organising a corporate event. Give your group size, preferred date range and any requirements (private time slot, catering, logistics).
Step 2: Discuss the video package. For corporate events, capturing everyone's jump on video creates a powerful shared media asset. Most drop zones can accommodate helmet cameras for all participants.
Step 3: Communicate requirements to the group in advance: minimum age 16, maximum weight ~100–110 kg (check with drop zone), comfortable closed-toe shoes, no alcohol before jumping.
Step 4: Plan the day structure. Budget 3–5 hours at the drop zone from arrival to the last landing. Add time before or after for a team lunch or dinner at a nearby restaurant to extend the debrief.
Pricing for corporate groups
Standard tandem jump prices start at CHF 330 per person. Group discounts may be available for parties of 5 or more – ask the drop zone directly. Video packages (highly recommended) add CHF 60–90 per person. The total investment for a group of 10 with video is typically CHF 3,900–4,900, making this one of the more memorable corporate events available at a competitive price per person relative to multi-day offsites.
How the Corporate Jump Day Works
From arrival to the post-jump team debrief
Group Arrival & Registration
The team arrives together and completes check-in and waivers. Introductions to individual instructors. The atmosphere at a drop zone is immediately different from any office environment – grounding and energising simultaneously.
Group Briefing
All participants receive the ground briefing together. The moment the harnesses go on and the briefing begins, team dynamics shift noticeably. Watch who steps up and who goes quiet – it tells you things about your team that months of meetings don't.
Jumps – Group by Group
Depending on aircraft size, the team jumps in 2–4 loads. Everyone cheers everyone else in on landing. The atmosphere builds with each load – later jumpers benefit from the energy of those who've already landed.
Debrief & Team Lunch
After the last landing, debrief at the drop zone or proceed to a local restaurant. The conversation is unlike any post-meeting debrief – specific, honest, energised. The video footage provides a great conversation starter.
FAQ – Corporate Skydiving Switzerland
Common questions from corporate event organisers
For groups of 5+, book at least 4–6 weeks in advance for summer weekends. Weekday corporate events have much more availability and are often preferred (fewer recreational jumpers). Contact the drop zone as soon as you have a confirmed group size and preferred date range.
Many drop zones can accommodate dedicated or semi-private slots for corporate groups, particularly on weekdays. Discuss this when booking – drop zones are experienced with corporate events and understand the logistics of group operations.
Tandem skydiving requires no physical fitness – the instructor does all the physical work. The only restrictions are age (minimum 16), weight (maximum 100–110 kg) and certain medical conditions. If team members have concerns, encourage them to check with their doctor in advance and discuss with the drop zone.
