Swiss drop zones regularly host bachelor and bachelorette party groups of 4–15 people. Most drop zones are happy to accommodate groups with advance notice and will often assign a dedicated time slot so your group jumps together (rather than being distributed across random flight schedules). How to organise a skydiving stag or hen party

Step 1: Choose your drop zone. Pick a location that suits where your group is based or where you're celebrating. All five Swiss drop zones are within 2 hours of Zurich, Bern, Basel or Geneva. For an Interlaken or Bernese Oberland weekend, Swiss Boogie in Kappelen is the natural choice. For a Zurich/Central Switzerland weekend, Skydive Luzern or Dropzone 47 work well.

Step 2: Contact the drop zone directly and explain you have a group of X people for a bachelor/bachelorette event. Give your preferred date and ask about availability, group pricing and any dedicated slot options. Most drop zones will try to accommodate groups together.

Step 3: Collect deposits or full payment from the group in advance. Drop zones typically require booking confirmation for groups. Decide whether to include the video package (highly recommended – the face-cam footage makes for excellent post-party entertainment).

Step 4: Prepare the group. Make sure everyone meets the requirements: minimum age 16, maximum weight ~100–110 kg (check with your drop zone). No prior experience needed. Share the jump preparation guide so everyone knows what to expect and what to wear.

Is skydiving suitable for the whole group?

Tandem skydiving is designed for complete beginners – no experience required. The only restrictions are the minimum age (16) and maximum weight (typically 100–110 kg). If one or two group members can't jump for health or weight reasons, most drop zones have a comfortable viewing/landing area where they can watch and cheer the group in. Everyone wins.

The video package for bachelor parties

For a bachelor or bachelorette party specifically, the video/photo package is almost mandatory. Your instructor wears a helmet-mounted camera that captures your facial expression during the exit and freefall. For groups, this creates a collection of priceless footage that can be compiled into a highlight reel. Costs CHF 60–90 per person for video, or CHF 80–130 for video and photos.
