Geneva's nearest AFF-certified drop zone is Flying Devil in Les Eplatures, approximately 80 km to the northeast in the Jura Mountains of the canton of Neuchâtel. The setting is spectacular — high Jura plateau with panoramic views stretching across Lake Geneva, the Swiss Plateau, and on clear days all the way to Mont Blanc (4,808 m).
The AFF programme at Flying Devil follows the internationally standardised curriculum: a full-day ground school, then 8 freefall jumps progressing from dual-instructor to solo. After completing your levels and consolidation jumps, you sit a brief theory exam and receive your Swiss parachute licence.
For Geneva residents who prefer a longer drive to a wider range of options, DZ47 in Grenchen (~130 km) and Swiss Boogie in Kappelen (~130 km) are also worth considering for their larger training teams.

Ground School
A full day of theory and drills: stable body position, altitude awareness, emergency procedures, canopy flight, and landing patterns.
Levels 1–3 (Dual)
Two instructors exit with you and maintain physical contact. Practice your arch, altitude checks, and the wave-off/deployment sequence.
Levels 4–5 (Assisted)
One instructor accompanies you. Execute 360° turns, forward movement, and demonstrate precision deployment.
Levels 6–8 (Solo)
Your instructor follows at a distance. Perform full solo manoeuvres, earn your final sign-offs, and own the sky.
Licence & Beyond
Consolidation jumps, theory exam, and your Swiss parachute licence. Valid across Europe at any affiliated drop zone.
